What is Coordinated Entry?
As part of the HEARTH regulations that govern Continuum of Care (CoC) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funding, the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires all CoC’s across the country to implement a coordinated entry system. Coordinated Entry utilizes standardized tools and practices and coordinates assistance so that those with the most severe service needs are prioritized.
