 aining is required for CoC projects that serve families. Presented by Mela
 nie Palmer\, IMFT-S\, Training Officer Child Focus The training includes t
 echniques to give child-care providers the information they need to not on
 ly identify and understand child maltreatment\, but to engage families reg
 arding access to parent education\, social connections\, and concrete supp
 orts in their communities. Questions for discussion\, ways to take action\
 , and suggestions are all part of this experience. This curriculum has bee
 n designed to meet the training requirement for child abuse and neglect re
 cognition and prevention as outlined in the Ohio Department of Job and Fam
 ily Services Licensing Rules with the addition of the language of the Stre
 ngthening Families Initiative.
